Further progress was made in the Vale of Clwyd for the Conservatives in the Euro elections. Following large gains for councillors last year and now getting towards nearly double the number of votes as Labour in the Euro elections, the local Conservatives are pleased with the result. Commenting Matt Wright, the parliamentary candidate said, "We are committed to working for the people of the Vale of Clwyd and are pleased with topping the poll decisively in the European elections".
